Following the seasons and enjoying what each brings can help with gaining perspective on our own lives: over time so much comes our way that we might have lost hope of or belief in, if we had been watching and waiting and worrying.

I say this in the spirit of teaching best what I most need to learn!

I have learnt so much patience and acceptance from gardening, learnt to enjoy the process and let go of the results, to look forward to, not the planned events, but the small surprises that continually offer themselves when you walk your garden or park or favourite piece of countryside.

Delight in the small, as the Dao Deh Jing says, and live in contentment…
